| ½ cup butter or margarine |
| 1 cup sour milk or buttermilk |
| 1 ¼ cup sugar |
| 2 cups of flour |
| 1 egg |
| 3 cups finely chopped rhubarb |
| 1 t baking soda |
Cinnamon topping: |
| ½ t cinnamon |
| ¼ cup chopped nuts |
| ¼ cup brown or white sugar |
Cream the butter and sugar together. Add the egg and beat it well.
Stir the soda into the milk and add to the creamed mixture, alternating with the flour.
Finally, stir in the chopped rhubarb. Pour into a greased 13” x 9” pan.
Mix the cinnamon topping ingredients with a fork or your fingers and sprinkle it over the top of the batter.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Yum.
